NOTE:
FunintheUP.com measures and reports for two stations, Houghton County, MI and Downtown Houghton. There are a total of about 91 snowfall stations which FunintheUP.com follows across the Upper Peninsula.Not all stations are reported on this page. It is important to note the amount of snow can vary greatly from one location to another even as close as 1/2mile distance. Most stations are manned as a volunteer COOP weather observer for NOAA. Reporting stations around the UP are checked daily and reported as such by each volunteer. Each station might not update daily, some people are better are reporting than others, some we find are on and off with their reporting. A particular station might have gotten snow but it might not be reported for a day or two, it just depends on the volunteer. If this happens we will update the days snowfall when we receive it.
